Haven of Love (Remanso de Amor) in Quito, Ecuador is serving the poor by overseeing programs to benefit families and their communities, to help people better their socioeconomic situation, and to provide education and/or education reinforcement of needy children.
Remanso de Amor is also providing basic healthcare to the community and is offering a prenatal care program for expecting mothers and after care for new mothers, nutrition, medical and dental care, as well as workshops on micro-business.
Remanso de Amor is currently in the process of finishing the construction of the second, third and four floors of the elementary and high school. There is a vision to provide other training programs such as: vehicle mechanics, carpentry, beauty care, and dress making (seamstress). Some of this vision is already taking place.
