Faraja, Chile

Job Training/Community Development

This project helps provide job opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged people. There are 30 people (7 of whom are physically disabled), learning to make furniture under Master Carvers. By showing that this concept can work, other factories in the area have stated their desire to hire disadvantaged and disabled people as workers.

The goal of this project is two-fold:
1. To provide jobs for the disables and disadvantaged in the third-world country of Chile.
2. To help provide funds through the sale of the furniture for the Faraja Kenya vocational training program.
