Based in the Western Cape Province of South Africa, ATAIM works through volunteers to reach out to the forgotten poverty-stricken children and their families across their country. They are actively involved in provi
ding food, shelter, medical attention, and educational reinforcement. Many of the children they work with live in communities with very little opportunity for education or employment.
Fraserburg (population 4,000) is one of the towns they have been working in for over 7 years. They are in the process of building an orphanage/hospice/place-of-safety for the many children that suffer from fetal alcohol syndrome, HIV and/or abuse.
